The Lobster Shanty & Sunset Ballroom Transition to “Harbor Point” — A New Chapter for a Beloved Point Pleasant Beach Destination

After many wonderful years serving the community as The Lobster Shanty & Sunset Ballroom, we’re excited to announce the next chapter in our story: Harbor Point, a reimagined waterfront venue dedicated exclusively to weddings and special events.

While The Lobster Shanty has enjoyed great success and loyal support from the community, we’ve often felt pulled in different directions balancing à la carte dining, banquets, and weddings. In response to the growing demand for special, unique, and approachable event spaces along the shore, we’ve decided to move away from à la carte dining and focus fully on what this remarkable location was truly meant for—hosting unforgettable celebrations overlooking the beautiful Manasquan River.

Harbor Point will continue to deliver the same exceptional food and service our guests have come to love, now enhanced with thoughtfully curated food and beverage packages, timeless cosmetic updates, and a one wedding per day policy to ensure every couple’s day feels uniquely their own.

We’re proud to share that our cherished community traditions—like Brunch with Santa, our New Year’s Eve celebration, Easter, and Mother’s Day gatherings—will continue at Harbor Point.
